Cleveland Fire Department

The Cleveland Fire Department has proudly served the citizens of Cleveland since 1895.  We currently employ 107 personnel and operate out of six fire stations strategically placed throughout the city.  We provide a wide range of services including:  Fire Suppression, Medical First Response, Technical Rescue, Hazardous Materials, and Fire Prevention. In 2021 we responded to 3,276 calls for service. Our first unit arrived on the scene an average of four minutes and eight seconds after they were dispatched.

On July 1, 2020, the citizens of Cleveland received the added benefit of an improved ISO rating of 2/2X placing our department in the top 6% of fire departments nationwide.  We are proud to offer our citizens a premier level of fire protection. 



Mission Statement

The Cleveland Fire Department will serve the citizens and guests of the City of Cleveland by protecting life, property and the environment from incidents involving fire, rescue, hazardous materials, and other emergencies, both man-made and natural. This will be accomplished through code management, public education, and professional emergency management.
