Information Technology

The Information Technology (IT) Department supports the technology resources of the City of Cleveland’s government, public safety, and the Cleveland/Bradley 911 Communications Center.   By effectively managing technology resources, IT supports informed decision-making to City departments and enables ongoing service improvements to residents and business partners. 

IT Services

Cybersecurity
Protects computer systems/data and infrastructure from digital attacks, damage, or unauthorized access.

Enterprise Applications
 Manages software applications that support City’s business functions.
 
Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
 Provides dynamic maps to City staff, residents, and regional partners.  This includes, but not limited to, aerial imagery including drone usage, addressing, parcel information, city limits, and GPS coordinates.
 
Infrastructure
 Responsible for maintaining fast, reliable, and secure network.

Public Safety Systems
 Manages technical services and support for Public Safety departments.  This includes critical environments such as Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Records Management Systems (RMS), and the Citywide Public Safety Camera System.

User Services
Supports City staff resolve issues with computers and applications.

Website
 Manages the City Website by providing a digital gateway to the City of Cleveland government and public safety, providing access to City services like online payments, as well as offering the public information such as meeting agendas and local codes.  Also promotes City features to attract residents, businesses, and tourism.
