Dr. Bill Estes was first elected to the City Council in 2006. He came to Cleveland in 1998 as an Assistant Professor of Education at Lee University. In his duties as a councilman Dr. Estes serves on the Cleveland Municipal Planning Commission and the Greenway Board. Outside service has included stints on the Boards of Habitat for Humanity, the Boys and Girls Club, the Museum Center at Five Points, and the United Way of the Ocoee Region. Dr. Estes currently serves on the board of City Fields. Prior to coming to Lee University Dr. Estes was a public schoolteacher, an assistant principal, and a principal. Bill is married to his wife, Virginia, and has two college-aged children.
