Marsha McKenzie, District 1


Marsha McKenzie was appointed to the City Council February 10, 2021. She has been a resident of Cleveland for 58 years. She has lived in District 1 for 19 years.  

She attended Stuart Elementary and Arnold Junior High School and graduated from Cleveland High School. She also attended Cleveland State Community College; Tulsa State College; and a 2-year graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa Oklahoma.  

Marsha and late husband Charlie McKenzie owned and operated a furniture warehouse business for over 31 years.  Together Marsha and Charlie owned and operated a home renovation business and managed rental properties over the past 20 years, which Marsha continues to own and operate.  

Marsha worked overseas five years as an associate Missionary for the Church of God, serving as Director of Ladies Ministries; and worked with childrens orphanges and street ministries to the homeless in Bogota, Columbia, South America. She has worked managing inventory of the shipping and receiving department for the Church of God Forward-in-Faith department.    

Marsha is a member of Westmore Church of God. She was married to her life-long friend, Charlie for 20 years.  She has one son Steven Murray (wife Melanie), three grandchildren Kiersten (husband Andrey), JD, and Miranda; and one great-granddaughter Ester.
