The Cleveland Fire Department is an all-paid professional department, consisting of 105 highly trained personnel and six fire stations that provide multiple services to the citizens and visitors of the city of Cleveland. Currently, the Cleveland Fire Department protects an estimated 42,774 residents, covering an approximately 30 square mile area, and provides those businesses and residents with an ISO Class 3 rating.
We are currently in our 121st Year of service to the community, and we are honored to serve such a city. Although we are experiencing large growth in the industrial community around us, we still maintain a small town feel.
The Cleveland Fire Department will serve the citizens and guests of the City of Cleveland by protecting life, property and the environment from incidents involving fire, rescue, hazardous materials, and other emergencies, both man-made and natural. This will be accomplished through code management, public education, and professional emergency management.
