Cleveland Recycles 5K Run & 1 Mile Fun Walk
About The Event

The City of Cleveland is hosting its second annual Cleveland Recycles 5K Run & 1 Mile Fun Walk on Saturday, April 30, 2016. The goal of this event is to raise awareness about the benefits of recycling and reduce litter in the community. The selected course takes you along the Cleveland/Bradley Greenway, which provides a safe and scenic route through the city. The course is USATF certified and sanctioned under USATF guidelines. USATF certification number is TN15031MS. Each participant will receive a t-shirt, reusable grocery tote, and other prizes.


Registration begins at 7:15 AM and the race begins at 8:30 AM.

Water will be provided along the course. Snack bars, fruit, bagels, and juices will be set-up at the staging area. A certified and licensed massage therapist will have a table available at the event. 


Awards will be given to the overall male and female winners as well as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places for the following divisions: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60 and older.

Date: Saturday, April 30, 2016

Registration the day of the event begins at 7:15 AM and the race starts at 8:30 AM. 

In lieu of a race entry fee, please bring a minimum of four recyclable items on the day of the event.

Ample parking is available free of charge at Greenway Park and across the street at Cleveland High School.
