Many Bradley County areas do not have wired broadband coverage such as that offered in neighboring Hamilton County, with EBPFI. Many Bradley County residents work from home, their children need fast internet service to access school courses (which are increasingly online), etc. But these taxpayers are often forced to use expensive wireless services such as cell and satellite. To be affordable, most of these folks must get on a data-limited plan, which forces a cutoff after the limit is reached. Commercial internet providers are not offering their wired services in many Bradley County areas, even though they have been contacted by residents. It would be nice to see a grocery store that carries (name brands) in the south west Cleveland/Bradley County area. Currently resident have the options of Save-A-Lot (which does not carry many name brands) or driving to Wal-Mart on McGrady Dr or Walmart in Ooltewah (McDonald area residents). We have grocery stores conveniently located in northwest area (Fresh-N-Low on Georgetown) and Publix. North Cleveland has Wal-Mart (Keith St) and Food Lion (Stuart Rd). Cooke's and BiLo both north of 25th Street. South east Cleveland has Walmart (McGrady Dr), BiLo (McGrady Dr) and Fresh-N-Low (Spring Place). McDonald area is in Bradley County (both east and west of I75). The most convenient grocery store for this area is Wal-Mart in Ooltewah (taking money from our community and giving it to Hamilton county). Exit 20 was supposed to be expanding and would be a great place to put a grocery store that carries name brand items.
