TINSLEY PARK PICKLEBALL COURTS PROJECT

The CITY OF CLEVELAND will receive sealed bids for the furnishing of all labor, materials and services for the Tinsley Park Pickleball Court Project in accordance with specifications.  Bids will be received at the Cleveland Municipal Building Council Room, 190 Church Street, N.E. Cleveland, TN 37311, until 10:00 A.M. local time, on Tuesday, September 17, 2019.  

A pre-bid meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, at 2:00 P.M. local time in the Cleveland Municipal Building Council Room at 190 Church Street, N.E., Cleveland, TN 37311.

The project consists of the construction of a Pickleball Facility that includes 6 individual Pickleball Courts and appurtenances. The project shall be bid and installed in accordance with the scope of work, bid specifications, terms, and conditions.    

Plans and specifications for the project may be obtained from Kristi Powers, Budget/Purchasing Coordinator at the Cleveland Municipal Building, 190 Church Street, N.E., Cleveland, Tennessee.  Ms. Powers can be contacted at (423) 472-4551 (extension 5333).

The Award and Execution of Contract will be in compliance with Section 103 and 107 of the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act (40 U.S.C. 327-330) as supplemented by Department of Labor regulations (29 CFR part 5). 

Each bidder must submit a bid security deposit not less than five percent (5%) of the bid on the form provided and subject to the conditions of paragraph 3, “Bid Guaranty,” Page IB-2.  No Builder Risk Insurance is required.

Liquidated damages in the amount designated in the Specification and Contract Documents will be assessed for failure to complete the work within the contract completion time as specified therein.  No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.

All bidders must be licensed general contractors as required by the Contractor’s Licensing Act of 1976 of the General Assembly of the State of Tennessee and qualified for the type of construction being bid upon.  

All bids must be sealed and plainly marked “Tinsley Park Pickleball Courts Project”.  Each bidder shall write on the outside of the envelope containing their bid (1) the contractor’s license number and (2) the license expiration date.  If this is not done, the bid will not be opened.

Bids must be submitted on the BID FORM supplied for that purpose.  Bids that are mailed shall be mailed and delivered to the City of Cleveland prior one day prior to bid opening.  Attention:  Kristi Powers, P.O. Box 1519, Cleveland, Tennessee 37364-1519.
